About Sarah Sutton

Sarah Robertson Sutton, MS, founder of Truce and Outside In Fitness is certified as a professional coach specializing in healthy weight and wellness transformations, particularly from a spiritual foundation aligned with your deepest-held values and beliefs.

She has been a Wellcoaches certified wellness coach since 2005, an Advancing Ministries Scripture-based transformational coach since 2009, as well as an American Council on Exercise certified personal trainer (2001) with a master's degree in exercise science from The George Washington University (2005). As a former weight loss and fitness editor with Prevention magazine, Sarah has more than 250 written articles to her credit. She has also worked at Green Mountain at Fox Run, a residential healthy lifestyle center that champions the Health at Every Size movement, which parallels Sarah’s belief in acceptance as the cornerstone to any life change.

Why is physical and spiritual health the basis for Truce coaching? Sarah battled her weight for years in the past (overweight by 45 pounds at one point) and now maintains a happy medium focused on healthy fitness and eating, not body size. And after her own experience of transformational coaching, Sarah returned to church, found her husband, and started Truce. The shifts were subtle, the journey both difficult and easy, and today she is totally different.

Now, Sarah's experience and fresh approach make her an unwavering partner in your quest to reach your ultimate vision. The Truce Difference

What makes Truce coaching so different? Based on over 15 years of experience in the fitness industry, six years coaching, and five years personally living my own transformation, I’ve learned that most programs fail to take into account the whole person (your personality, life dynamics, etc) and the (sometimes surprising) real issues. Truce:

  1. Interweaves spiritual principles that lend transcendental meaning to your well-being, and make for transformation coaching rather than life coaching.
  2. Shifts your mental patterns and emotional reactions to BE someone who believes anything is possible now—not when you’ve finally “arrived.”
  3. Uses physical movement and posture, breathwork, and your body’s own wisdom to ingrain habits (my version of somatic coaching.)
  4. Cultivates a real-time feel for abundant living through original experiential practices that illuminate exactly how to make transformative shifts.

I coach toward a 180 degree turn on your current way of thinking, relating, and acting, which leads to incredible results.
